The AP: November Round-Up

We’re dashing towards Christmas like Santa on his sleigh, but before we head off for the festive break there’s just enough time to share some exciting developments from over the last month.

We have once again extended the ArchiPhonic family, welcoming Architect Jamie to our team. He’s settled in exceptionally well and we’ve certainly been keeping him busy…

Delivering More for Our Clients

In November, we were delighted to have planning permission granted on an application that we encouraged a client to re-submit, after identifying an opportunity to achieve more from its scheme.

Our creative approach to the residential project on New Chester Road in New Ferry increased the number of units by 33% and even delivered more outdoor amenity space for residents. You can read all about it here.

New Appointments

As well as the New Chester Road project, we were instructed on a new build single story house and we began an exciting new agricultural project. This new appointment will see our team design eco live/work units for a farm in Lancashire.

The project will accommodate small businesses, comprising workspaces with places for people to live nearby. The scheme will have an eco-focused design, using sustainable materials as far as possible and incorporating ecological facilities and layouts.

Championing Design

Following on from his blog about the newly appointed Liverpool City Region Design Champion, our co-director, Adam Mokhtar’s thoughts on the importance of good design to the city were also published in the ‘My City’ column in the Liverpool Echo – you can see the article over on Twitter.

Feeling Festive

Last – but certainly not least – on Friday 14th December the team started the seasonal celebrations by pulling on their favourite festive knitwear for Christmas Jumper Day – as you’ll see from the photo above.

The office will be closing on Friday 21st December for the Christmas break, returning on Tuesday 3rd January 2019. As much as we’re looking forward to a well-deserved rest, we’ve had a fantastic year and we can’t wait to see what 2019 holds.

On that note, we’d like to say an enormous thank you to all of our clients, colleagues and peers who have supported us this year. It’s been a pleasure and we can honestly say, we couldn’t do it without you. Have a happy, safe and restful holiday – we’ll see you all next year!
